Out east, every day of the season

The Hamptons is a difficult place to run ground transport well. Roads that were built for farm traffic carry Manhattan volumes for four months of the year, addresses are unlit and unmarked, and half the trips happen on the two worst traffic days of the week.

We hold vehicles on the East End through the season rather than dispatching everything from up-island. That is the difference between a car that arrives on time on a July Friday and one that is stuck at Exit 70.

What we run out here

Airport transfers

The dominant trip. JFK and LaGuardia at $299 flat, MacArthur at $189, Newark at $449. All include tolls, gratuity, flight tracking and meet and greet. See the JFK page for terminal detail.

Manhattan runs

Door to door, in either direction, at a flat $349. Considerably more civilised than the Jitney and roughly the same as the sum of a train ticket plus two taxis, without any of the transfers.

Wine tours and days out

Hourly as directed across the South Fork vineyards and over to the North Fork. See wine tours.

Dinner and nights out

Montauk, Sag Harbor and the Southampton restaurants in season. Booked hourly so a long dinner does not become a problem.

Weekend standby

For house guests and summer residents we run standby arrangements — a car and chauffeur available across a weekend rather than booked trip by trip. Popular with families out for August.
